Raoul Wallenberg Day
January 17, 1945 the Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg disappeared after saving the lives of as many as estimated to be over 100,000 people in Budapest Hungry. The Jews were saved from the final solution of Nazi Germany near the end of WWII. Raoul disappeared into the Russian Gulag and was never seen again. To this day Russia denies their involvment. Join Sweden and the Jewish community in celebrating Wallenberg Day Saturday the 17, of January.
