CDC Recommendations H1N1

The CDCs current recommendations for students and staff diagnosed with H1N1 infections should b kept home for a period of 7 days after onset of symptoms os 24 hours after resolution of symptoms, which ever is longer. The day of symptom onset is day 0.those with a fever of >100 degrees F and a cough or sore throat should also be kept home for the same period of time unless H1N1 infection is ruled out through lab testing or another explanation of symptoms exist. These are the current recommendations from the CDC as there is some confusion among parents in the community.
