Creation

Another book that is a most wonderful expose on Charles Darwin, his life, family and work is out there. It is also a movie. It is written by Randal Keynes the great great grandson of Charles Darwin himself and the great nephew of John Maynard Keynes, the great economist. The book is a telling work gathered from family documents, treasures and recollections of the family. It goes into the warm and funny moments and the dark sadness that enveloped Darwin when his beloved daughter Annie died at age of 10 in 1851. We get a peak into the great man's mind and how he developed his theory of natural selection and the dread that he knew would come. We can see his wife Emma's turmoil with his work, as she was a devout christian and interesting a Unitarian. Darwin knew the greats of 19th Century society, such as Florence Nightingale. A gentle giant of intellect on the same level as, dare I say it Einstein. This is definitely going into the recommend reads. There is so much myth surrounding the man and this lays open the truth of Darwin.
