Zicam Pulled from Market

Zicam a product billed as homeopathic has been pulled from the market. It causes ansomia, that is the inability to smell. This is caused by the zinc in the product and zinc is toxic to the nerves in the nose. The pediatric formulations have already been pulled. Now this is for the adult. The company has to pay fines to FDA and resubmit trials to be allowed back on the market. The company is already facing lawsuites for the ansomia. This product was originally put on the market under the guidlines that congress at Sen. Grassly initiation didn't need FDA approval as being homeopathic, vitamin or supplement. The chickens are coming home to roost. The companies original research was on very small numbers of people. Not enough to bring out potential problems. So what if no one can smell you ask. It can have potentially lethal consequences like, oh; not smelling gas leaks, fire, toxins etc. Not to mention the terrible quality of life with not taste other than what is on the tongue. The nose has a lot to do with our taste of food. So much for the so called no risk homeopathic and supplements products.

Peace
