Interesting article in the paper this am. From Beirut; a senior Iranian Cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying: "Many women who do not dress modestly ...lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which increases earthquakes." He preached this last Friday during a sermon on Iranian media. So the fact that Tehran sits on multiple fault lines and is one of the worlds most seismically active areas, is not the cause, but God is P.O. by scantly clad women? The Minister of Welfare and Social Security said prayers and pleas for forgiveness were the best "formula to repel earthquakes." So what you get in a Theocracy is holy men prescribing prayers and chastity for scientific problems. Bush tried this if you remember. The scary thing is if Iran gets a nuclear bomb, what do you think a religious delusional government is going to do? It is also another excuse to oppress the women in the country. Think about it.
